November 9, 2006 20 thousand domains were delegated in the ORG.UA domain.

July 12, 2006 The 200 thousandth private third level domain was delegated in the .UA domain.

June 30, 2006 60 sets of children's bed linen were supplied to the infant department of the children's hospital No.1 at 30 Bogatyrskaya St. The charitable act was funded by Hostmaster Ltd.

June 21, 2006 50 thousand domains were delegated in the COM.UA domain.

February 17, 2006 The first religious public domain DOMINIC.UA was delegated. The DOMINIC.UA domain is administered by the Eastern Variacate of the Male Dominican Order of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine.

December 1, 2005 The 13-th anniversary of the .UA domain.
As of December 1, 2005, 00:00 o'clock, the number of domains in the private second level (name.UA) .UA domain came to 2,035.
The number of third level domains (name.domain.UA) registered in the .UA domain reached 165,557, of which:

  • in com.ua domain - more than 41,048,
  • in org.ua - 11,587,
  • in net.ua - 5,061,
  • in od.ua - 3,107,
  • in sumy.ua - 2,328,
  • in zp.ua - 1,235,
  • in kharkov.ua - 1,200,
  • in lg.ua - 580,
  • in rv.ua - 460,
  • in pl.ua - 360,
  • in rovno.ua - 180

July 20, 2004 The public IN.UA domain was delegated to the Technological Systems Company. The domain is intended for the registration of third level domains name.IN.UA by individual users.
The IN.UA domain was delegated in the interests of physical entities - citizens and/or residents of Ukraine, who identify themselves as members of the Ukrainian Internet community on their own will and at their own discretion.

February 18, 2004 The one thousandth private domain was delegated in the .UA domain.

December 20, 2003 Presentation of awards ceremony was held within the framework of a joint event dedicated to the 11-th anniversary of the Internet in Ukraine organized by the Internet association of Ukraine, Ukrainian Internet Community non-governmental organization, and the Hostmaster Company, .UA domain administrator. Awards "For the outstanding personal contribution to the development of the Internet in Ukraine" were granted to Aleksander Grigoryev, Sergey Gulchuk, Oleg Yeliseyev, Dmitriy Kohmanyuk, Maksim Mazurok, Igor Romanenko, Igor Sviridov, Svetlana Tkachenko, and Viktor Forsyuk.

February 21, 2003 Signing of a multilateral agreement on the creation of a Public Supervisory Council on .UA Domain Administration was officially announced.

December 1, 2002 The tenth anniversary of the official .UA domain delegation in Ukraine (December 1, 1992). For the 10 years, more than 100 thousand domain names were registered in 51 public domains, and more than 500 private domain names - in the .UA domain.

July 3, 2002 The 25 thousandth domain name was delegated in the .COM.UA domain.

November 27, 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. acquired rights to the WHOIS software system, meeting the requirements to the registration database determined in the .UA Domain Policy (copyright certificate of the State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine PA No. 4936).

November 4, 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. becomes the official administrator of the COM.UA second level public domain.

October 23, 2001 Acting in accordance with the new .UA Domain Policy, the first private second level domain name BUSINESS.UA was delegated to the owner of the Business registered mark for goods and services.

September 24, 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. started its business activity. An agreement No.1 was concluded between Hostmaster Ltd. and the first registrar.

September 15, 2001 According to the decision of the .UA ccTLD administrators, acting on the basis of the Agreement No.1/2001, a new .UA Domain Policy came into force.

June 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. published draft new .UA Domain Policy for an open public discussion.

March 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. published draft .UA ccTLD Development Conception for an open discussion.

March 25, 2001 An agreement N1/2001 was concluded, under which the acting .UA ccTLD administrators transferred a portion of administrative powers to the Hostmaster Ltd.

March 2001 Hostmaster Ltd. started to provide technical support of the .UA ccTLD and second level public domains COM.UA, KIEV.UA, NET.UA, EDU.UA, POLTAVA.UA, and PL.UA.

February 21, 2001 An informal society UA NCG made a decision to create Hosmaster Ltd. - a legal entity, which would implement operational principles of a .UA ccTLD administrator in its activity.
The acting .UA ccTLD administrators - Dmitriy Kohmanyuk and Igor Sviridov together with other administrators of the *.UA public domains were among the founders of Hostmaster Ltd. Boris Mostovoy was appointed a director of Hostmaster Ltd.

1999 The ORG.UA special purpose public domain was delegated.
The ORG.UA domain is intended for organizations and physical entities, whose domains do not correspond to the requirements of NET.UA, COM.UA, EDU.UA, and GOV.UA.

1998 The EDU.UA special purpose public domain was delegated.
The EDU.UA domain is indented for legal entities, representing state or non-state educational establishments of the third and fourth level of accreditation according to the Register of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and pursuing their activity in the territory of Ukraine under current Ukrainian law.

1995 "Short" (two-letter) geographical domains-synonyms (km.ua = khmelnytsky.ua and others) were delegated.

1995 The .UA ccTLD administrator delegated special purpose public domains COM.UA, GOV.UA, and NET.UA.
The COM.UA domain was delegated in the interests of the previously not specified group of users. Therefore, the public domain COM.UA is a generic domain at the same time.
The GOV.UA domain is intended for governmental institutions and organizations of Ukraine, pursuing their activity under current Ukrainian law.
Third level domains in the NET.UA domain are delegated to legal entities registered in the territory of Ukraine, which declare the rendering of network services in the territory of Ukraine as their core business.

1994 Oleg Voloshchuk resigned from the position of the .UA domain administrator. Dmitriy Kohmanyuk was elected a new .UA domain administrator.

1993 UA NCG (Ukrainian Network Coordination Group) - an informal association of Ukrainian specialists - was created for the purposes of operating the .UA domain.

January 1993 Conference of Ukrainian Internet specialists was held in Slavsko. 27 geographic public domains corresponding to the zone codes of telephone numbering were delegated.

December 1992 Jonatan Postel (IANA) delegated a .UA country code top level domain to leading Ukrainian Internet specialists, selected by the Internet community - Oleg Voloshchuk and Igor Sviridov. Administration duties are discharged on a voluntary basis.
The two-letter UA country code was established by the international ISO 3166 standard for the identification of the geographical territory, which is not a means of identifying the Ukrainian state and/or Ukrainian nation.

October - November 1991 Opening of negotiations between Ukrainian specialists and Internet Assigned Number Authority (IANA) on the delegation of the .UA country code top level domain.
